How on earth did that happen so quickly? People always talk about time going by fast, but my goodness that past year just flew by. So how to celebrate?
The best way to remember just how your little one was when they reached this important milestone is by a Celebration portrait session. I do not offer cake smashes, but instead offer award winning, timeless professional photography to capture your baby’s true personality.
Celebration portrait sessions are offered to children of any age, so if your little one is way past the baby stage its still just as special to capture them as they grow.

SESSION FEE
To secure your Celebration session, I charge a non refundable session fee of £99. This covers the session itself, all the props and styling, the relevant and necessary insurances and the viewing appointment.
The session fee does not include any images or products. These can be chosen and purchased after your session once all the images are professionally edited. Each Birthday session has a minimum spend of £349, but you may spend this on which ever products you want to display your images on. The minimum spend is payable straight after your session to allow for the professional editing of your images to commence.

THE PHOTOSHOOT
Many of my clients start to think about their little ones first birthday when they are around 6-9 months of age. Before booking, it’s important to think about whether you would like your little one’s images to display for their actual birthday, therefore the shoot will need to be scheduled prior to that date. Most of my clients like the session to be around their birthday, so that they can capture exactly how they are at that age, but it is all personal choice. Once you have made the decision, booking in advance is essential.
Just like the Newborn and Milestone sessions, the Celebration sessions will be led by you and your little one, therefore I will work with you to agree the best time and day to capture them around their routine. For example, I would not book in your session at 10.30am if they are likely to be in their morning nap. I only book in one client per day, so there will be plenty of time to capture those impressive shots that you have dreamt of.
The Styling of your portrait session will depend upon many factors, such as what colour eyes they have, what colours of clothing suit them, what they are interested in. However, please remember that the very best sessions are all about your little one, so keep it simple. If you have any ideas about what you would like please feel free to discuss them with me prior the session, but if not I will create a magical experience for you resulting in images that you will love forever.

The editing process
After your session you will be required to pay a minimum spend, this is so that the editing process can commence. A minimum of 20 images from your gallery are selected and professionally edited. This is where your images really come to life. The editing process can take up to 6 weeks during busy periods.
The ordering session
After you images have been edited you will be invited back into the studio to view your gallery. It is at this point that you will choose your bespoke package. The minimum spend payment will be deducted from your chosen package.
All packages can be completely bespoke and you will get to purchase the products that you love, from wall art to albums to prints etc, there is so much to choose from and I will be there every step of the way to help.
How will my session be styled
The session is always styled to your wishes. Your preferences will be discussed before your shoot and I will add a little bit of magic to create the most beautiful set of images. I will agree everything from colour schemes to props. Everything is taken care of before the session so that on the day you just have to sit back and relax and watch it all come together as you had dreamed it would.
How should I prepare my child for the session
Children are always most happy when they have a full belly, so its advisable to feed your baby just before your session. If this is not practical, then you are welcome to feed your baby when you get to the studio.
Celebration photography is best practiced when your baby is most happy, I am happy to work my sessions around your babies routine.
What do I need for the session
Birthday photography is the perfect way to celebrate your little ones birthday. It should be reflective of them and their little personality should shine through, therefore I would suggest that you bring a variety of clothing that suits them. It is also advisable to bring any drinks, snacks, interactive toys or favourite items you may want to include in your photographs.
How long does a session take?
As the sessions are child led this can vary. Typically a Celebration session will take 1 – 2 hours.
Can I include all my children?
No, but I do offer family sessions if you have multiple siblings or want some photos of parents too. Please contact me for details.
I would like to book a shoot, but money is tight. Am I able to pay in instalments?
