The first few magical moments of your baby’s life do not stay around for long. Those tiny little fingers and toes, that wonderful smell, the look of pure, innocent perfection and the ability to capture our unconditional love. As a mum of two beautiful daughters, I know just how quickly this stage passes and I am so passionate about capturing the moment for you and your baby.
My photography style is all about your baby. The sessions are not fussy, but simple, timeless portraiture, with minimal use of props and heavy colours. Trained in Newborn posing and the safe practice of Newborn photography, I will ensure that your baby is treated with the respect and care that they deserve.
Whether you are booking a Newborn shoot, a Family shoot or a session for an older baby, I ensure that the whole process runs smoothly from start to finish.

PACKAGES
To secure your Newborn session I charge a non refundable session fee of £99. This covers the session itself, all the props and styling, the relevant and necessary insurances and the viewing appointment.
The session fee does not include any images or products. These can be chosen and purchased after your session once all the images are professionally edited. Each Newborn session has a minimum spend of £399, but you may spend this on which ever products you want to display your images on. The minimum spend is payable straight after your session to allow for the professional editing of your images to commence.
If you book your newborn session at the same time as your maternity session, you will receive both session fees for £150, saving yourself £48
A mini Maternity and Newborn session is also available upon request, please ask for details.

THE PHOTOSHOOT
Now for the exciting information. Before your shoot I would have planned your bespoke session to your wishes. Desires, such as colour schemes, are discussed and agreed, however on the occasion that you are not to sure what you would like for your baby, I can plan and take care of that for you. No two sessions with me are the same, resulting in a bespoke and personal gallery of images.
My sessions are multi award winning and completely baby led, meaning that I work with your baby soothing and calming them and ensuring that their every need is met. Your baby will not be rushed and will set the pace of the session, this can be achieved as I only book in one client per day so that I can dedicate time to your little one. Sessions on average are between 3 to 4 hours long.
To ensure the comfort of your baby, the purpose built studio is a tranquil, warm and cozy environment, please ensure that you wear comfortable clothing and please feel free to come armed with snacks and drinks to keep you going. I will spend time soothing your baby and posing them in the most beautiful comfortable positions. Aided by a white noise device, your baby will feel secure and settled and will doze off into an enchanting deep sleep. This is when all the magic comes alive and the images are created.

What to do when Baby arrives
Within the first two days of your baby arriving its best to contact me to confirm the date that the actual session will take place. Newborn photography is best captured when your baby is between 5 and 14 days new, however if you miss this time frame please do not worry as I am able to capture a full newborn gallery up to 8 weeks of age. The later the session is booked the less likely it is to guarantee all the beautiful poses that you will love, but this will be completely baby dependant. Some little ones are amazing and act just as they would have done at one week old, but others are far more alert and do not always want to play ball, therefore the sooner a session is booked the better.
The editing process
After your session you will be required to pay a minimum spend, this is so that the editing process can commence. A minimum of 20 images from your gallery are selected and professionally edited. This is where your images really come to life. The editing process can take up to 6 weeks during busy periods.
The ordering session
After you images have been edited you will be invited back into the studio to view your gallery. It is at this point that you will choose your bespoke package. The minimum spend payment will be deducted from your chosen package.
All packages can be completely bespoke and you will get to purchase the products that you love, from wall art to albums to prints etc, there is so much to choose from and I will be there every step of the way to help.
How will my session be styled
The session is always styled to your wishes. Your preferences will be discussed before your shoot and I will add a little bit of magic to create the most beautiful set of images. I will agree everything from colour schemes to props. Everything is taken care of before the session so that on the day you just have to sit back and relax and watch it all come together as you had dreamed it would.
How should I prepare my baby for the session
Babies are always most happy when they have a full belly, so its advisable to feed your baby just before your session. If this is not practical, then you are welcome to feed your baby when you get to the studio. I have a very comfortable sofa and breastfeeding pillow for your convenience. Newborn photography is best practiced when your baby is asleep, therefore it is advisable to keep your baby awake by playing and interacting with them for a period before your session. Please dress your baby in a baby grow, with no vest underneath, and a warm blanket so that we do not have to disturb them too much when you get to the studio.
What do I need for the session
In a nutshell, for your baby, you will need plenty of milk, nappies and muslin cloths, and for you, lots of drinks and snacks to keep you comfortable, and that’s it! I provide all the rest. From outfits to props, I have it all at the studio, so you do not need to bring anything with you. However, if you do have something that you would like to incorporate into your shoot, such as an important teddy, please feel free to bring it along.
How long does a session take?
On average a newborn session takes between 3-4 hours, but each session is completely baby led so it will all depend on your little one.
My baby has already arrived, am I too late?
Usually I am fully booked, however it is always worth a phone call to see whether I am able to fit you in, you never know.
What if my baby does not sleep?
Newborn photography is best practiced when your baby is in a calm deep sleep, however on the occasion they are wide awake. I will take time to sooth your baby and calm them into the sleep required. No baby has ever failed me yet, but then again, it is always magical when you capture those little eyes wide open.
Can I include all my children?
Sibling and Family sessions are included at no extra charge to a Newborn Session. I, as a mum of two, knows exactly how special it is to capture all your children together, so please feel free to bring them along. If they are likely to get bored, I will capture them at either the start or the end of the session so that they do not have to stay for the duration.
My friend is also pregnant, do you offer a referral scheme?
It’s so special when you and your friend are pregnant at around the same time. If you have booked a Newborn Session with me and you recommend a friend to do the same, you will receive a the gift of £25 off your ordering session as a thank you. This can be spent on any product of your choice.
I would like to book a shoot, but money is tight. Am I able to pay in instalments?
Absolutely! I am so passionate about capturing your baby at this magical stage, that I would hate for you to miss out, just because of financial reasons. Getting everything ready for your baby is an expensive business, but whereas your pram, outfits, feeding equipment, car seat are all essential, they will not last longer than a year. You Newborn images will last more than a lifetime and will become an important heirloom for your family. It really is such a special thing to do.
